The Trouble with the Mind

Bernard always had a problem with money.

He was always lacking it.

He longed for a life where he was able to have more than enough.

Well, he really didn't want a lot more than enough. He simply wanted enough money to never have to stress about paying his bills on time and having enough to get the things that he wanted and desired.

The problem was, he didn't feel he was educated enough to get a really good job that paid the really big bucks. So, he believes he is destined to always be broke.

The problem is Bernard doesn't have faith in himself. He doesn't believe that he is supposed to live an abundance life.

Since this is Bernard's innermost belief, he will never live an abundant lifestyle.

Our lifestyles, our relationships, our financial situation, our health, and anything else you can think of, comes to us by whatever we believe to be true about them.

If you believe that life is hard and that life is a struggle. It will always be hard and a struggle for you.

If you believe that money is hard to come by, then it will always be hard to come by for you.

If you believe that you are sickly, then you will always be sickly.

It's all in a state of mind.

Our mind controls everything that happens to us, yet, there isn't any sort of course of study that is required in our schools that teaches anything at all about the mind and the power that it has.

Sure, you can study the subject in college, but it isn't required.

The only way to learn is to learn on your own.

Now let's be honest, most people don't read. Yeah, they will read the newspaper and their favorite magazine, but the average person does not read anything further than that.

So, if no one is teaching us how to understand the mind and it's powers, how do we learn about it?

Like everything else in life, it is up to you. You are the captain of your soul. You engineer your life. If you don't like the results that you are getting out of life, then it is up to you to change it. No one can change you but yourself. (It is also important to note here that you cannot change anyone else either.)

Well, how do you start making the changes? I suggest you learn about the mind and how it functions. I suggest you go on the Internet and read all that you can pertaining to the mind. God created a masterpiece when he created our mind. It works better than any state of the art computer that exists today.

If you want to start changing your life, you have to start changing your mind.

ACTION POINT: Spend sometime this week learning about the mind and how it functions. Do a search on the Internet for "How the Mind Works?" Check out some NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) sites and read them. Look into Accelerated Learning. These are excellent sources for starting to understand the mind and how it works.

Your Mind is a terrible thing to waste.
