Up until the start of the 20th Century there was a strong cadre of scientists like Michael Faraday and Sir William Crookes who knew integrating the humanities with hard sciences provided the greater insight or wisdom.

The outright disingenuous nature of attacking new thought rather than questioning the presenter is not borne of mere ego. The hypnotic schooling along with paradigm peer pressure or Political Correctness has torn a whole in the collective soul.
